Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy can be applied to the body through massage, reflexology or by using my unique range of toiletries which are loaded with Essential Oils. An alternative way is through inhalation – by steam, through a bottle or from a tissue. Whatever your choice, you can be assured that the oils are absorbed effectively and leave you feeling totally relaxed and revived, ready to face the world.
Massage is the usual choice to experience aromatherapy. It is very effective in reducing stress, anxiety related disorders, muscular tension, digestive problems, menstrual irregularities, menopausal complaints, insomnia & depression. By regular relaxation, our body is able to cope with the many problems we are faced with on a daily basis.
When applied to the skin, blended essential oils work immediately on your body tissues. Essential oils are absorbed through the pores of your skin and then into the bloodstream – then they are carried to every part of your body.
Aromatherapy is gentle and can benefit everybody from birth through every stage of life, including pregnant women (although not in the first 12 weeks), seriously ill patients with cancer or AIDS right through to offering comfort and care for the elderly and infirm.
Aromatherapy is a traditional therapy which uses a personal blend of essential oils tailored just for you – then let the massage begin. I will help you choose an individual blend of essential oils to suit you and your many individual needs.
Your first appointment will take at least 75 minutes, which includes a free 15 minute consultation where we discuss you and your lifestyle - information gathering that's not too intrusive. Follow up appointments are usually 60 minutes but can be as long or short as you want .
